Highlights

  • The majority of Tennessee registered voters consider themselves definitely or somewhat pro-choice, including 93 percent of Democrats, 54 percent of Independents, and 30 percent of non-MAGA Republicans

  • Differing attitudes between men and women on key state issues could prove influential on public policy in Tennessee and appears to be part of a potentially significant national trend

  • IVF and proposed gun control legislation have bipartisan approval 

  • Sixty percent of Tennessee voters favor legalizing marijuana for recreational use

  • ​62% of respondents support expanding Medicaid to cover more uninsured people

  • 76% of respondents support restricting access to guns for individuals who are at high risk of harming themselves or others to reduce the risk of gun violence

  • 38% of respondents identify as "definitely" pro-choice, while 33% identify as "definitely" pro-life

  • 49% of respondents say they would use a tax-funded voucher program to help pay for tuition to send their children to a private or religious school instead of their local public school

  • 45% of respondents support tax-funded vouchers, while 46% oppose
